At WHOM, volunteers are the lifeblood of everything we do. Our mission moves forward because everyday people step in with their time, skills, and compassion to directly serve neighbors in our community.

When you sign up as a volunteer with WHOM, you can let us know how you’re best able to serve. We’ll reach out when there is an opportunity that fits your unique gifts, schedule, and resources so you can step in where you’re most needed.

There are several ways to get involved:

• Volunteer in our network (as-needed support)

  Sign up to be part of the WHOM volunteer network. We’ll contact you on an “as needed” basis when specific needs arise in the community that match the ways you’ve said you can help.

• Serve on a WHOM Love, Your Neighbor community project (planned opportunities)

  Throughout the year, WHOM will host planned Love, Your Neighbor community projects that bring volunteers together to serve in focused, hands-on ways. These projects are great for individuals, families, and groups who want to serve on a specific date or event.

• Become a WHOM Advocate (church or group liaison)

  You can also volunteer by helping WHOM directly as an advocate. WHOM Advocates act as liaisons for their church, small group, or organization, serving as a key communication point in the WHOM network. Advocates help:

  • Share opportunities to serve

  • Organize and plan “Love Your Neighbor” projects

  • Recruit volunteers

  • Support fundraising events and other WHOM initiatives
